Article 1. General
a. These General Terms and Conditions apply to all activities of the World Art week as well as to all advice and all services provided to people and organizations that collaborate with, participate in and sponsor the World Art Week.
b. The World Art Week is organized by the Art Week Foundation. The Art Week Foundation is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number               .
c. People and organizations that collaborate with the World Art Week, participate in the World Art Week and sponsor the World Art Week, fully and unconditionally accept these General Terms and Conditions.
d. Agreements deviating from these General Terms and Conditions are only applicable if they have been confirmed in writing by the World Art Week.

Article 2. Cooperation, participation and sponsorship
a. Individuals and organizations can collaborate with the World Art Week, participate in the World Art Week and sponsor the World Art Week.
b. Persons and organizations that collaborate with the World Art Week, participate in the World Art Week and/or sponsor the World Art Week, do so because they sympathize with the objectives of the World Art Week and/or want to benefit from the attention paid to the World Art Week and the activities organized during the World Art Week.

Article 3. Registration for cooperation, participation and sponsorship
a. Registration for cooperation with, participation in and sponsorship of the World Art Week is done with the registration form on www.worldartweek.nl.
b. The costs for cooperation with, participation in and sponsoring of the World Art Week are indicated on the registration form.
c. An application for cooperation, participation and sponsoring will be confirmed by e-mail.
d. An application for cooperation, participation and sponsoring is only accepted after payment of the indicated costs.
e. The duration of the collaboration, participation and sponsorship is indicated on the application form.

Article 4. Cancellation of cooperation, participation and sponsorship
a. Cancellation of cooperation, participation and sponsorship earlier than agreed must be done in writing by e-mail (info@worldartweek.com). Cancellation will generally be confirmed within ten working days.
b. Under no circumstances will cancellation of cooperation, participation and sponsorship earlier than agreed, result in a refund of paid monies.
c. In case the World Art Week wishes to cancel cooperation, participation and sponsoring earlier than agreed, the World Art Week will inform the person or organization concerned in writing. The termination is then per date on which the cancellation is received by the person or organization in question.

Article 5. Activities
a. During the World Art Week, individuals and organizations organize all kinds of activities that give visual arts extra attention.
b. One of the activities is the election of the European Artist of the Year. See the protocol of the election.

Article 6. Publicity
a. The website www.worldartweek.com and newsletters will be used to announce the World Art Week and the activities that will be organized during the World Art Week.
b. The World Art Week does not guarantee that all activities organized during the World Art Week will also be published on the website of the World Art Week and/or in the newsletters.
c. Publicity initiated by the World Art Week is included in the amount paid for participation or sponsorship and is therefore free of charge, unless expressly agreed otherwise in advance.
d. Persons and organizations that collaborate with the World Art Week, participate in the World Art Week and/or sponsor the World Art Week, grant the World Art Week permission to use their names, logos and the like for publication without further permission and without compensation.

Article 7. Personal data
a. The World Art Week processes personal data exclusively for the purpose for which the personal data was obtained.
b. Persons and organizations that collaborate with the World Art Week, participate in the World Art Week and/or sponsor the World Art Week agree that the World Art Week stores and uses the provided information.

Article 8. Suggestions and complaints
a. The World Art Week is doing its utmost to provide all information accurately and to provide the services correctly. Under no circumstances can the World Art Week, the Art Week Foundation and/or employees of these organizations be held liable for any error made in any advice or service in the broadest sense of the word.
b. The World Art Week continuously strives to improve all aspects of the World Art Week. Suggestions for improvement of the service are appreciated and can be made known via info@worldartweek.com.
c. The World Art Week observes the agreements made with care and attention. If, however, matters proceed differently than promised by the World Art Week, a complaint can be submitted in writing: info@worldartweek.com. Complaints will be accepted up to 1 week after an alleged negligence. In all cases, a complaint will be responded to within ten working days.

Article 9. Other provisions
a. The World Art Week and the third parties it engages are not liable for any damage, direct and/or indirect, that results from or is in any other way related to the set-up, care and execution of the World Art Week.
b. Despite the care that the World Art Week devotes to the management of its website and the newsletters, it is possible that the provided and/or displayed information is incomplete or incorrect. Errors, of any nature whatsoever, can in no way imply an obligation for the World Art Week or lead to any compensation for damages.
c. The World Art Week is not liable for the level nor for the actions of participants and sponsors of World Art Week.
d. If an activity announced by the World Art Week is cancelled for a reason prior to the World Art Week, the World Art Week will never owe more compensation than the amount paid for the cancelled activity.
e. If an activity announced by the World Art Week has to be cancelled or postponed due to force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, such as fire, storm damage, website failure and terrorist threat, the World Art Week can under no circumstances be held responsible for the consequences. Those involved cannot claim compensation or restitution of amounts paid in these cases.
f. The provisions expressed in these General Terms and Conditions can be modified at any time without further notice.
g. This version of the General Terms and Conditions is effective as of 1 December 2019.
h. In cases not provided for in these General Terms and Conditions, the World Art Week will judge and act in all reasonableness. In cases of a difference of opinion about the interpretation of what has been laid down in these General Terms and Conditions, the judgment of the World Art Week will be decisive.
i. Translated versions of these General Terms and Conditions are in circulation. Only the Dutch version is legally valid.
j. These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
